Designed for children 3 to 5 years old and preparing for kindergarten, this series of fun classes help build the skills needed for their next exciting chapter.
We will focus on 4 different developmental topics that will aid in the preparation of Kindergarten Readiness. The child does not need to be enrolled in Kindergarten to participate. All kids are welcome as the goal is to supply examples of practices to use at home to help with transitioning to school.
March 6th: Social and Emotional Skills (Examples: Separation, independence, taking turns, managing transitions, following directions)
March 20th: Language and Literacy Skills (Examples: Writing name and left to right, alphabet, letter matching, vocabulary, sight words, tell stories)
April 3rd: Academic and Cognitive Skills (Examples: Counting, sorting, shape recognition, recognizing familiar signs/logos)
April 17th: Fine and Gross Motor Skills (Examples: Using scissors, holding pencil, lacing, puzzles, body movement, balance)
