Library Access at Home is available for individuals with medical conditions or mobility limitations that make it impossible or unsafe for them to visit the library.
How does Library Access at Home work?
The Outreach Department provides and maintains book collections for local community centers, nursing homes, correctional facilities, and other congregate living locations. We also provide custom-curated collections to local facilities as requested.
The Outreach Department stocks and maintains our BookHives located in the villages of Adelphi, Clarksburg, and Massieville.
A fourth BookHive is located at the Northside Branch Library on Buckeye Street in Chillicothe and is maintained by Northside staff.
The Outreach Department also maintains a collection of large print books, audiobooks and braille materials, and serves as a lending agency for the federal Talking Book program for the blind and physically handicapped.
