Reluctant readers or kids first learning to read are encouraged to pay a visit to our listening dog. Call the library to reserve your 15-minute time slot.

Reading to a licensed therapy dog allows children to develop their skills by reading aloud in a therapeutic, no-pressure environment. He is great with kids and very gentle, and he loves to listen!

About the branch

The Northside Library is a wonderful place to relax and convene. It features several meeting spaces which are available for nonprofit use; an outdoor patio, shelterhouse, and children's play area; programs for all ages; and is home to our Beyond Books collection of unique items for circulation.
