Art Show: Betsy Parker

On the Run: Photography by Betsy Parker is viewable in the Myers Room at Northside Branch in February and March.

From the artist:

As time goes by, I find I am taking more photographs as I dash between one spot and another. Despite all this helter-skelter running, I still find my impulse to photograph is driven by a desire to remember a color, a texture, a cold or hot day, a quiet or thoughtful pause in the chaos, the presence or absence of friends, my place in time.

Like any artist who shares their work, it is my hope one of these photographs inspires the viewer to wander into the scene, and see the color, feel the air or small the rose. If not here, then when they walk out the door.
