It's Banned Books Week (September 22- 28) and we're celebrating our Freedom To Read! Join us for an afternoon of activities about banned or challenged books and our freedom to choose what to read.
The library is for everybody, with books for ALL. Let's celebrate that together! Bring your own shirt or tote bag to screenprint an exclusive design. Make a button on our button machine. Play banned book bingo. Check out our banned books display for your next read. And more!
Banned Books Week has been commemorated nationally every year since 1982. Led by the American Library Association's Office of Intellectual Freedom, the effort brings together professionals in education, journalism, and the literary community to uplift and celebrate how books make communities stronger and more empathetic.
